The second edition of the Arena Cup at G.S.A Ground had to live up to the expectations just like the first one, and it surely had its moments. After an exciting round of action four teams went home early. G.S.A Reserves, Jinnah FC, Predators FC and Safari FC suffered first round defeats but these teams definitely put up fights. The semis were an exciting affair as two famous rivalries were renewed. G.S.A youth Vs First and Two African teams Five Star and Karachi University Soccer team met. The first affair ended with Five Stars maintaining their status of defending champs by beating KUST easily and G.S.A First maintained its favorite status by winning with ease past Youth.

The Stage was set for a classic final and it was an exciting atmosphere in the final as cultural festivities were observed before and after the game and the game itself was one of the most exciting events in Gulshan Area. G.S.A First ended the half strongly and missed a couple of great chances, but in the 2nd Half a lighting start from Five Stars left them with a deserved lead. That goal woke the G.S.A First team up and they attacked relentlessly, until equalizing, but the game was decided on penalties in which the experienced Five star side kept their cool and won the game to provide it with deserving winners. The Tournament was very exciting and the calm control of the Five Star side was witnessed in every match and the high quality football of G.S.A first was only matched by exquisite passing by the G.S.A Youth. Football was the winner in the end as Famous personalities graced the final with their presence.      See Results
